About 451zine

451zine was created to burn words, not books, with the irony being that much of what is here, is not published in the printed form, but may lead to printed publications from the stories, views and opinions that are expressed here. The words are those of the writers and by no means represent the overall view of 451zine. Free expression untethered.
451zine is a place where its members can electronically publish their stories, concepts, blogs, ideas, both through the written word, video, and audio methods. 451zine is loosely designed based upon the concepts of Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. That is to say, a love for words and books gathering dust throughout history awaiting one to pick the words to be their very own.
A second irony is that the medium in which 451zine is delivered to you, is not unlike the premise of Fahrenheit 451 – the Intranet destroys the old ways of storing words just as burning books. Ray Bradbury states that Fahrenheit 451's premise was that television destroyed interests in reading literature. Is not the Intranet simply the modern version of the same?
The Intranet has taken that concept even further by destroying viewers of television which, by Bradbury's premise destroyed reading. So 451zine is here to take the Internet medium and use it to proliferate those words and views that are now a part of this medium.
